DNS lookup
Enter a domain and we'll resolve every record type.
Resolves A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS and TXT records for a domain through Cloudflare's public resolver, and flags the two configurations that quietly break email: no MX records, and MX without SPF.
How it works
- 1
Six record types are queried in parallel through Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS resolver.
- 2
Results are listed with their TTLs, so you can see how long a change will take to propagate.
- 3
We check for MX records without a matching SPF entry, which is the most common cause of mail landing in spam.
Questions about this tool
- Why does this show different results from my registrar?
- Your registrar shows what you configured. This shows what a resolver currently returns, which lags by up to the TTL after any change. The gap between them is propagation.
- What is SPF and why does it matter?
- A TXT record listing which servers may send mail as your domain. Without it, receiving servers have no way to distinguish your mail from someone spoofing you, so they filter more aggressively.

HTTP header checker
Reads every response header a URL returns and scores the six security headers worth having. It also catches X-Robots-Tag noindex — a way of deindexing a page that never appears in the HTML.

What is answer engine optimization (AEO)?
Search increasingly returns synthesised answers rather than links. AEO is the unglamorous work of making sure the facts about your business — what it is, who it's for, what it costs — are stated plainly enough to be quoted correctly.
