JSON to Markdown converter
Paste JSON and get readable Markdown.
Converts JSON into readable nested Markdown lists with object keys in bold. If the JSON is invalid it tells you exactly where, which is often the more useful output.
How it works
- 1
The JSON is parsed and validated first — a syntax error is reported with its position.
- 2
Objects become bold keys with their values, and nesting becomes indentation.
- 3
Arrays become bullet lists at the depth they appear.
Questions about this tool
- Why not just read the JSON?
- Deeply nested JSON is hard to scan, and pasting it into a document looks like debris. Markdown lists are readable in a doc, a README or a ticket.
- Is my JSON sent anywhere?
- It is processed in the request and not stored. Nothing is written to a database and nothing is logged.
