Who will actually be working on my project?

What agencies and studios need to publish

They have experienced the pitch team disappearing after signature. This is a trust question and it is asked because the answer has been no before.

How customers actually ask it

The same intent arrives in wording your page probably does not use. All of these mean the same thing:

  • “Who will actually be working on my project?”
  • “do you outsource”
  • “will I get the senior person”
  • “is the work done in house”
  • “who is on my team”

What a complete answer contains

For agencies and studios specifically, an answer is only complete when it covers all 5:

  1. 1

Whether the people in the pitch are the people who do the work

  2. 2

Whether any work is subcontracted or offshored, stated plainly

  3. 3

The typical team shape for a project of their size

  4. 4

How much of the senior person's time they actually get

  5. 5

What happens when someone on the team leaves mid-project

A worked example

Illustrative — not a real business

The people you meet are the people who do the work. We do not subcontract or offshore. A typical project runs with a lead designer, a developer and a project manager, with the founder involved at the weekly review rather than day to day — roughly half a day a week. If someone leaves mid-project we overlap their replacement for two weeks at our cost, not yours.

What silence costs

A prospect who has been switched once assumes it will happen again, and picks the agency that addressed it.
