How much does it cost?
What SaaS companies need to publish
They are qualifying you in or out. Hidden pricing does not create a sales conversation; it creates a bounce to a competitor who published theirs.
How customers actually ask it
The same intent arrives in wording your page probably does not use. All of these mean the same thing:
- “How much does it cost?”
- “pricing”
- “what are your plans”
- “is there a free tier”
- “how much per user”
What a complete answer contains
For SaaS companies specifically, an answer is only complete when it covers all 5:
- 1
Actual numbers, not 'contact us', unless you genuinely only sell six-figure contracts
- 2
What the unit is — per user, per seat, per workspace, per usage — since this is where comparisons go wrong
- 3
What happens when you exceed a plan limit: hard stop, overage charge, or forced upgrade
- 4
Whether annual billing is discounted and by how much
- 5
Which taxes are added, and to whom
A worked example
Illustrative — not a real business
Three plans at $39, $99 and $249 a month, billed per workspace rather than per user, so adding teammates never changes the price. Annual billing saves two months. VAT is added for EU customers.
Which page should own it

What silence costs
Hidden pricing filters out self-serve buyers entirely, and they are the segment with the lowest acquisition cost.

AI customer support for SaaS companies
SaaS support is dominated by questions your documentation already answers: what a plan includes, whether a feature exists, how an integration works. RubyRep reads your docs, pricing and changelog and answers those on the site, so trial users get unblocked in seconds instead of waiting on a ticket.

What is AI customer service?
AI customer service means answering customer questions with a language model rather than a person. The useful implementations are grounded in a specific business's own content; the poor ones let a general model improvise, which produces confident answers that are wrong.

What is a knowledge base?
Traditionally a knowledge base is a help centre humans read. For AI support it is the source material a representative answers from — which means an ordinary website, well written, can serve as one without a separate help centre.
Does your site answer this already?
Point RubyRep at your website and ask it this exact question. If it cannot answer, neither can your customers.
